The planning application has now been submitted on the Springfield Lane residential scheme, where 214 new homes will be created in place of the existing industrial buildings. Roscoe are providing full civil and structural engineering services on the scheme located along River Irwell, which also contains 915 sqft of ground floor commercial floorspace, new access ways, parking and landscaping.

The new homes, which will be developed under a Build to Rent model, will be built in three blocks of between 4 and 18 storeys and include a mix of townhouses and apartments.

Working on behalf of Torsion Developments with a project team including OMI Architects and Euan Kellie Property Solutions, the scheme will contribute to the ongoing significant regeneration of the area, helping to create a dynamic and vibrant new community.

A decision on the planning application is expected in early 2023 and if granted, work is to start on site in spring, with completion expected autumn 2025.
