White Design continues to support leading pub operator and independent brewer Marston’s in developing high quality accommodation throughout its estate, a recent addition to which is the newly built 39-bed lodge at the Marston’s Lock Keeper Public House in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
The new Marston’s Lodge enjoys an attractive location next to the Chesterfield Canal and is conveniently located just off the A57 close to Worksop town centre and train station, and within easy reach of both the M1 and A1 motorways, making it the perfect place to stay for both business and leisure travellers.
The new lodge is located to the rear of the existing Marston’s Lock Keeper Public House and the site includes a mix of hard and soft landscaping as well as parking facilities for lodge customers and staff. The building takes inspiration from the existing public house building. The elevational treatments include facing brick and render matching the Lock Keeper in appearance, and they also incorporate brickwork detailing from the pub.
The 39-bed lodge with an approximate building cost of £2.3 Million was completed in just 24 weeks.
The new lodge at the Lock Keeper is the third timber frame lodge White Design have completed for Marston’s, with several more currently either under construction or submitted for planning approval.
